My argument to the Blakk Frogg was this: Sabathia had offers on the table from West Coast teams (where he is from and had expressed from day one that he’d like to play), but in the end…he took an average of about $20 million more to play on the East Coast with the Yankees instead of these West Coast teams…sell out? My opinion: YES. Swayed by the almighty $, period…and the Skankees bought him, plain and simple. Texeira’s signing, very similar. He had offers from his hometown teams (which he too had expressed interest in playing for), both the Orioles and Nationals made offers similar but slightly below what the Yankees offered. Texeira’s answer: take the money and run…the American way. Can you blame these guys for signing with the Skankees? I do, I’m a fan first, do they remember when they were growing up and were fans? If the Cleveland Indians offered me $140 mil and the Yankees $160 mil…I’d sign with my hometown team, the team I grew up being a fan of, a team I’d want to take to a World Series, give my hometown city a title…I’d ask myself “what can I get with $160 million that I CAN’T get with $140 million”? If I was Sabathia or Texeira, my answer would be simple…

20 MILLION…AKA MONEY, PERIOD, MONEY IS ALL THAT MATTERS…
